Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrive in Srinagar, houseboat check-in
Arrive at Srinagar airport (SXR) or by road, and reach Ghat No.13, Boulevard Road on Dal Lake. Check in to your houseboat room, have tea on the deck and rest. In the late afternoon take a Shikara ride on the lake at sunset. Dinner on board.
Day 2 — Gulmarg day trip
Drive to Gulmarg, about 50 km and roughly 1.5–2 hours from Srinagar. Spend the day on the meadows and, weather permitting, the Gulmarg Gondola. Return to the houseboat by evening. Gondola operation depends on weather and snow.
Day 3 — Mughal gardens and departure
After breakfast visit Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh on the lake shore, then pick up some Kashmiri handicrafts or dry fruits. Check out and leave for the airport or onward travel. Keep a buffer of at least 3 hours before flights.
