Gulmarg Gondola (Ropeway)

Asia's highest gondola operating in two phases. Phase 1 (2,650m to 3,088m): Spectacular views of Gulmarg bowl and surrounding peaks. Phase 2 (3,088m to 3,980m): Takes you to Apharwat Peak with breathtaking 360-degree Himalayan panorama including views of Nanga Parbat (8,126m). Tickets: ₹900 Phase 1, ₹1,600 both phases. Apharwat Peak

At 4,390 meters, Apharwat Peak is accessible via Gondola Phase 2. The peak offers some of the most dramatic mountain views in India, with unobstructed sightlines to Pakistan's Nanga Parbat, multiple glaciers, and the vast Himalayan landscape. Snow remains year-round at the peak.

Gulmarg Golf Course

The Gulmarg Golf Club, established in 1891 by the British, is one of the world's highest golf courses at 2,650 meters and the oldest in Asia. The 18-hole course offers spectacular mountain backdrop. Open May-October. Green fees: ₹500-1,500. Club rental available.

Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve

Dense forests of fir, pine, and deodar surrounding Gulmarg protect numerous wildlife species including Himalayan black bear, Kashmir stag (hangul), musk deer, and diverse bird species. Forest walks offer wildlife spotting opportunities in this protected reserve.

St. Mary's Church

A picturesque colonial-era church built in 1902, St. Mary's adds historic charm to Gulmarg's landscape. The church is no longer in active use but its stone architecture against mountain backgrounds creates excellent photography opportunities.

Maharani Temple

A hilltop Shiva temple built by Maharani Moksha Parvati Bai offering panoramic views of Gulmarg valley and surrounding peaks. The hike to the temple through forests takes 30-45 minutes and is worth every step for the views at the top.
